I do think police officers should wear body cameras. I think it’ll benefit with their cases and also record proof of certain things. This means it’s the criminal's word against a device that recorded everything that went down. Evidently, the cop would have the advantage. If they broke, I think it would be courtly to replace them. Another disadvantage would be if cops went uncover and got caught the camera, they’d mostly be killed instantaneously. Another advantage would be for the citizens. With everything that went down with George Floyd, we’d have had proof of possible police brutality and be able to send those types of cops to jail faster.
i think that we could all benefit from cops having body cameras because then they could catch everything live and let's say that you accuse some underage teens of doing something, those body cameras would save so much stress for those teens from interagating because all the footage would be on the body cameras.
I think that police officers should wear body cameras because they will catch everything that happens and they can always look back on it too. It'll also benefit our society because people who are innocent can be proven innocent. Some people will also act better knowing that they're being recorded. At the same time I think that people who know they are being recorded can feel very uncomfortable and not like it.
I defiantly agree that police officers should wear body cameras. It will give proof when an incident occurs. Also I think it might encourage police officers to be a little more careful on how they react to people knowing they will be recorded and can be used against them. The disadvantages I think would be that they can just turn it off or if it gets violent they will find a way to cover the camera and not show proof of what actually happend. I think it would benefit society more then damage it.
I think it would be a good idea for police officers to wear body cameras because if there is ever they do something wrong it can be recorded and they will have prof. If police wear body cameras I think they will behave better because they know there actions are being recorded and can be watched. I don't think a lot of police officers would like the idea of a body camera because they would think they have no privacy. It would benefit society because people would be more weary about there actions because there actions are being recorded and can be used against them.
Police officers should definitely wear body cameras! There's pros and cons to this like how it would be good evidence to hold against criminals, but it also costs quite a fortune since it's very expensive and just to get twenty for a police department, it's like over 2000 bucks. It would help in crime run-ins and police officers would be encouraged to watch their behaviors in-front of cameras so it couldn't be use against them.
that's a really good idea to have body-cameras worn on police officers, it will for sure benefit with cases and crimes because you have all of the proof of certain things. it can benefit society because you can prove innocent people not guilty because of all the proof from the body-cameras that the police-officers would wear if they really are innocent to the crime/case. but some disadvantages are like i'm sure that they would come at a big cost and that i guess that it doesn't really give anyone privacy too and they can pretty much be used to be used against someone else's actions.
I think that it's a great idea for police officers to be forced to wear bodycams. Some of the advantages of wearing a bodycam is that there is always a recording incase there is a police brutality case, or something of that nature. It can always be used as proof. It could protect the citizens and criminals, but also police officers. It could be, that if the police get into a shootout, that they can use it as evidence that the person on trial is the person in the video and it could help get them behind bars. It would also help end a bunch of bad things, as people would have to watch what they do more around police officers, because they would constantly be being recorded. One of the downsides of this, is that bodycams are really expensive, and it would cost a lot of money to supply each cop with one, but it would be a worthwhile investment, as it could help protect everyone.
I mean yes when we live in a world like this where our law protectors abuse their powers "sometimes" it would be a good idea to have a body camera. With this camera we would be able to see the full footage of what happened so hopefully the police-person who is abusing their power can get what they deserve. I mean it would cost the police department a lot and not all police-people are "bad" so it would be used a lot on "nice" cops which is a loss of money too. This would benefit society by just adding another layer of protection/evidence for the people out there who are not getting justice for what happened to them.
I think that police should be wearing body cameras. The advantages would be to see what the police officers are doing, illegal, life threatening actions towards others, etc. Another advantage could be to get the evidence that they need to prove that the officer did something wrong. Some disadvantages, if the camera was secret and the officer found it, they could break it.
Police officers should wear body cams. If they do something illegal, the body cam can catch it and then we'll have evidence of their crimes, to the point where they shouldn't be defended. The only downside I can think of is if a cop was saving a hostage or something, and the captor found the camera. The cop would almost certainly be killed. Other than that, I don't see any other reasons that cops shouldn't have body cams.
Police officers should wear body cams. It will force them to do their job properly. We will also have evidence if they do commit crimes. Making them wear the bodycams would also probably prevent a lot of them from acting or doing anything wrong. They will be more respectful and watch what they do and say more often to prevent actually getting in trouble. I think this could be a start to the solution to many problems.
I think that police should wear body cams because it makes it easier to get evidence and proof of crimes. You can always re-watch the footage as many times an you need to find all of the smallest details related to the crime. Of course, there might be times when the body cam isn't needed, but it's always good to have it just in case.
I think that the police should wear body cams because then they can get video of important clues that the police might have missed or if a policeman does a bad thing they have it on camera. I think a disadvantage is that they could easily just take the camera off and they could do whatever they wanted without anyone knowing. I think its good for society because it will prevent excessive force used by policemen and it could help them solve cases.
I do think that police officers should wear body cameras. Wearing the cameras would help with solving crimes because any conversation or event that happened while that person was being arrested was recorded and can be used as proof in a trial. A disadvantage of having body cameras is that the police officer wearing the camera must be very careful with their actions. Say the police officer were to wrongly accuse someone or do something they are not supposed to do will be recorded and can cost the police officer their job. The cameras will benefit society because they can be used for catching people in their lies and can be used to catch police officers abusing their power.
I do think it could be beneficial for cops to wear body cameras. It could make cases a lot easier. It could help a lot to prove someones innocence or the other way around. It could help a lot to show proof if the police has done something bad to the person who should be stopped by the police.
I think that police officers should wear body cameras. An advantage is that you can see police brutality cases, or police officers over using their power. They are also often very useful for evidence for most cases but even then if we did get rid of body cams they are still some many cameras that the police equip like the camera's in cars. Also wearing a body cam basically makes so that police officers can't act so recklessly and follow the rules, which most of the time isn't a problem but it can happen sometimes. This benefit's society since police brutality is such a problem in America and Canada this can be used as hard evidence.
I think police officers should have body cameras because in today's society there have been a lot of deaths committed by racist police officers and the camera footage could help in court to help plead them guilty with proof. It could also help make the officers more aware and careful about what they are doing. A disadvantage is that they could easily turn the camera off or block it with something. Another advantage for society is that people would feel more comfortable with the police force knowing that they can’t really be accused of a crime that they did not commit.
I think that depending on your stance you can look at this two ways. There's the "invest more into police to help reform cops stance", and the "take away money from cops, and invest more into prevention, like education, and also invest more into mental health, etc." For the first stance, it seems like a no-brainer to go the body cam option, because the police would have more than enough to purchase body cams, and it would come with a lot of pros, like being able to hold racist cops accountable. For the second one, people usually suggest that instead of investing more into police as a "reform" system, we should instead divert the police's budget towards a separate division that would deal with cases where the police might act violently or not belong, and handle the situations more appropriately.
In my opinion both options are worth exploring, and both have a common end goal, to reduce the amount of racism in the police force, either by investing more in training, or cutting their budget.
Our Lives Matter Through the course of a historic year of civil unrest and the emergence of the #BlackLivesMatter Movement, teen writers from around the globe came together to take part in this national conversation about race, inequality, violence, and justice. "We are not thugs, they say. We are not victims. We are big sisters and sports stars, academic strivers and everyday heroes. We speak out for justice. We dream big dreams." These writers want more for themselves, more for their community, more for their generation. Who are the people you look up to and learn from right now? Who do you follow on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok? Are they white? Or are they people of color, from all kinds of backgrounds? How can we spread the word about OUR LIVES MATTER? Explain.

Many Dr. Seuss books are being recalled!. Books published between 1937 and 1976 contained stereotypes that were clearly racist. On top of that, PePe Le Pew, the famous Warner Bros. skunk has also been canceled. Evidently, PePe Le Pew normalized rape culture! What are your thoughts about CENSORSHIP (prohibiting books, movies, etc.) because they are obscene, unacceptable and a threat to society? Are we too sensitive as a society? Explain.
