WHAT A YEAR!!!
I would like to hear about your FINAL THOUGHTS about this school year!
What went well?
What did NOT go too well?
What were some things you were excited about?
What were some things that were not too exciting?
Overall, I want to know your FINAL THOUGHTS about the 2020-21 COVID school year.
This year was okay. There was work as usual but I couldn't see my friends as much. Recess was in the classroom so was a part of lunch. It is hard to stay in the same classroom all day without wanting to get up and walk around the halls. Masks were also not fun but it really good to wear one and I completely understand and agree on why we should wear them. The things that I was most exited about were the weekends, recess, lunch, 2:25, Ped days and some of the more exiting classes. What I'm really exited for is the summer where I can hang out with my friends and family and I have to worry about schoolwork like handing my assignments.

DeleteThis year was good but also bad. It was nice be able to talk to your friends more and get to know people better. But that's pretty much the only good thing about the year. Other than that, school has been pretty annoying. We could not do anything like we did last year. We were cooped up in a classroom, and could not roam around the school, could not have lockers and so many other things. I wasn't really excited about anything knowing than there would be nothing to do. This school year overall was just boring. The year went by kind of fast, but that's because the days were really uneventful and one day just turned into the next.

DeleteI can’t say there was a lot of positive things that happened this year aside from getting Mr.Katz for both Ethics and English. We also got M. Pike as our full-time math sub so that was cool. Design class was definitely one thing that did not go well this year. There was so many assignments it sort of became an overwhelming class to attend. Nothing really specific I was excited about this year, actually at the beginning of the year I was dreading going back to school. There were many things that weren’t exciting this year like the class bubbles, wearing masks, limited outdoors time, design class, etc.

DeleteThis year was really good, we got a different "high school experience" with the whole covid situation. We had a lot of fun times as a class which would have not happened if it weren't a single class. At the beginning of the year I was honestly exited about meeting new people. But I was not exited about having to do the work. 7.5/10

DeleteI actually enjoyed most of this year despite Covid I had a lot of fun and I developed more of a different mindset. I had a lot of fun with friends and I did things that made me get out of my comfort zone and take some risks that ended up being fun but a certain points this year it was kinda hard to find the line between safe risks and danger risks, some things I regret but overall I wouldn't change this year. I'm really exited for this summer with my friends. Im also not looking forward to the overly hot weather, although I like summer those few days during summer vacation that it's just to hot to work or do anything, i'm not the biggest fan of those types of days. Besides covid I really enjoyed this year, I feel like I changed a lot from last year for the better and I got to experience some cool and even some scary things with my friends.

Deletealthough this year was pretty bad and really boring, i do think it went better than last year. i personally hated the masks because i find it makes it ahrd to breathe and it makes liufe more miserable, but i undertsand why we need them. next, i really did not like the bubbles because although the people in thsi class are okay, i still have a lot of friends in other classes. i also hated that we couldn't use the caf or switch classes so overall, this school year was not the best, but it could have been worse.

DeleteThings that went well were making a lot of friends that I am so grateful for, they are so funny and kind, I am glad I might them...even though last year I didn't know they existed. What didn't go well was having to wear masks ALL year...and unfortunately some teachers. There was not much that I was excited about because everything was cancelled but I enjoyed seeing my friends everyday. What wasn't exciting is the most obvious, school and exams, stuff like that. I thought this past year was bad but not as bad as I thought.

DeleteI think this year was overall pretty fun. It was stressful at times, because, especially at the start of the year, there wasn't a lot of information about what was happening with the schools, and a lot of the decisions that the government made I did not agree with, but in school it was pretty fun. One of the bad parts about this year was design class. Especially in the last couple of classes, I think that the teacher was being very passive aggressive, especially not about calling the business project a school project. I really liked how the school year went, and Mr Pike was able to help with that in a subject that I was having a lot of trouble in. Overall, this year was pretty fun, and I think that it would've been totally different if Covid wasn't a thing.

DeleteMy final thoughts on this school year was that it was crap. Outside of school was chill I guess but I just hated school. Nothing really went well this year, maybe personal growth? Uh a lot went bad especially my grades. I was excited that I got Mr. Katz for two classes this year. I wasn't excted about anything else
ReplyDeleteMy grades were definitely different this year too but its ok it was a crazy year for everyone.
DeleteI think this year was okay. Definitely not the best ever because of obvious reasons, but other than that it was pretty good. I was sceptical about this year at school, but it all worked out. The masks were and still are annoying and I wish I could see my friends more often during, not just at lunch. Overall the school year was pretty fun and it was a good year, although it obviously could have been better.

DeleteThis school year was pretty well and I really enjoyed seeing other people after the long lock-down. What I found hard at the start of the year was the homework load because it had been a while since I had to re-get used to the stress and pressure homework brings. What I didn’t find exciting about this school year was all the Covid-19 measures put into place. Even though the pandemic caused us to have to wear masks and hand sanitizer for our safety it was still pretty important. This school year was decent even though there were all the complications from Covid-19.

DeleteThis year was pretty horrible for me because i do definitely rely on human contact but it did make me reflect on things ,it made me feel grateful for what we had before.This school experience dealing with covid was pretty tricky the rules were hard to work around ,it was hard getting back into the routine and it was mentally and physically challenging at times but it also helped me learn how to work around hard situations.One thing that was cool is how this year made me so close with some students and teachers.I made huge friendships with people i never thought i would.In the end im so thankful things are getting better i cant wait till life will start feeling at least a little more normal.
ReplyDeleteThis year school was alright. We stayed in the same class which made it easier between classes. There were no after school sports or activities. I would have like to go on the school trip. I would have liked if the cafeteria was open. I find it annoying to have to wash my hands all the time. Over all the year was alright but it could have been better
ReplyDeleteThis year was stressful. There were so many changes that happened in the world and in my life too. I really thought I was going to hate the whole class bubble situation this year but I ended up liking it because being around the same people so often made presentations and other things a lot less stressful since I was used to everyone. When school started I was really excited to see my friends again and get back into routine. Overall I think it was still a good year because I learned a lot about myself and about everything in general.

DeleteThis year was good and all, but I really should not have joined IB, like it is so boring and for what, a piece of paper that says "wow congratulations, you did good in IB". Like sure it can help you show you know leadership but like, the skills in design class aren't useful unless, ya'know, you plan on designing something, which you really don't do much of, or atleast you don't need an entire class about. I really don't mind covid this year and how it affected this year because it makes things easier, like I don't have to do as many presentations and I don't have to walk from class to class and struggle to find my binders.

DeleteThis year was kinda sucky. Nothing this year really went well. This entire year I have just been waiting to go home. At school I was thinking about what i'm going to do when I get home. I was definitely not too excited when Mme.Grandchamp said she was going to give us a nine period exam. Overall this year was kinda boring and frustrating so it was kinda sucky.
ReplyDeleteI really have no opinion on this year. The thing that worked well for me I guess is that I didn't fail french for the first term. I really thought that I would do science better this year especially since I did so well last year but not only did I not reach my goal but now I don't really like science anymore: it was diminished. I really didn't know what was going to happen this year so I didn't know what was exciting this year. This entire year I've been dreading having to do exams and now that I'm doing them there not that bad but that's probably because they're in-class. Overall I think this year was good. I mean I barely got to go anywhere but it went past my expectations.
ReplyDeleteIm just glad we got Mr Katz for English and ethics. This year was pretty bad. No lockers, so we carried 233767167 pounds to school every day. No cafeteria, so we had to eat lunch in our smelly freezer infected classroom, and for some reason, the teachers were like "Hey! Let's make this harder for our students by making everything on paper instead of using a more environmentally and COVID-19 friendly methods! Like no computers, because they plague our children minds!" *immediately checks phone*. Some of you "educators" are serious hypocrites.
ReplyDeleteThis year was actually a nice year. I enjoyed most of my classes. I liked having Mr Katz for two classes. I also liked being with the same people all year. It was nice because we got to know each other I guess. I hated not having a locker though. My bag is giving me bad back pains and i'm over it. I also miss being with my friends more often. I only get to see them at lunch and that's not enough time.
